I just bought this Mule about 16 months ago. I've had difficulty raising the bed from day one. The previous owner had cut a piece of thick rubber "horse mat" to fit the bed. It's nice, but it adds a lot of weight too. And my hernia doesn't help either. Kawasaki sells a hydraulic "dump kit" for it, but at $900 it didn't seem to be a good option. These struts we just a bit over $30 and are working out great..

Just in case your situation changes, Actuators can be had for cheap and while not as cool as Hydro, its a very cheap option.

I wouldn't spend $900 either lol. I bet lifting the bed with a mat and no struts was a real MF'r. Struts must feel like heaven.

Had to step into one of our buildings we have some older equipment in and take a piss real quick and notice this. Thought some of you here might get a kick out of it.

When I first started here we used this to cut our driving range. Hard to believe that at some point in time this was considered state of the art.

I’ve been looking for a while and finally convinced my wife a tractor was justified. I had a Bolens before but sold it. With a bad back and shoulders I thought a loader would be a great help around here and relieve a bunch of hand work. She found me what I feel is a pretty good deal so I went and looked at it.
Supposedly a 2015 1870. Serial number sticker was knocked off and hour meter has been replaced but it seems solid and everything works. Some cosmetic damage and faded from the sun but I got it to work it. I’ve been every evening this week going over it and seeing what I can find. Already did a complete service on the deck now I need to order all the filters and fluids for a complete service. The engine oil filter and hyd filter say serviced all n July but I have no idea if correct fluids were used. So changing everything.
This ought to be a big help with the garden, clearing snow, and moving firewood. I’m hoping it’s as good as it seems. Not pretty but it works

I still have the zero turn for mowing for now so I’m not in a huge hurry

I’m a mainline digger for a commercial civil contractor and instead of boring underground pipe installs I sometimes get to do walls

Back in the late '80s I was working as a superintendent of a golf course where part of my compensation was a house to live in. In the front yard was a post with a sign on it that stated an Intercontinental telephone wire was buried below. "Do not dig without calling". New ownership took over and decided to install an irrigation system, so we had to call. Talking to the guy marking the line he stated that if it was cut it was like a $1,800 per minute fine until the line was repaired. A couple of years later we were going to put in a lake, and called again. This time we were told the line had been replaced with fiber optics. They did insist that any part of the line that was dug up was to be set aside so they could come retrieve it.

Nah don't be offended.... I'm just a gobstopper on the excavator myself.

Real operators always make me jealous vs my poke around at it methods.

So I got it all together today ran the wires and mounted the lights. 2 Caliraused pods facing front

A single Amber Caliraused pod facing the rear mounted where the triangle was

put switches out of the way on left side of dash. Hooked all the lights up with Duetsch connectors so nice and weather tight

Neighbors son bringing trackhoe up to fix the flood damage creek banks and remove a tree hanging over the creek on their land but growing on another neighbor's side, we're just going to cut it and :lalala: . If we don't remove it then we might have an issue later like washing out our bridges.
    Try to get pictures.

    Nice neat job.

Can you swap the brackets side to side so the ends of the U bolts are away from the operator?
A sudden movement could have your head/body hitting the threaded ends.

I can. Honestly hadn’t thought of that they’re about shoulder level. I was planning on cutting the excess bolt length off but may look at what your saying
