I have my service done in the Denver area too; which dealer?
Not sure what 4x4 service is...maybe front diff and transfer case? This prompted me to look in the manual and I don't see anything recommended (for 'normal' use) for those - just to check them. May have to search around TW to see what people do and be ready for the sales pitch.

 

I'm in a snow state and spend plenty of time in the snow/gunky roads. I've had them on for a year and they look the same as when I put them on. However, I'm prepared to have to do a touch up if I plow through hardened slush or scrape some rocks getting to a trailhead. The ones from TVD come in sections (6 of the "U-s" and 6 thin connector pieces) so you could replace just parts, and the kit comes with a few extras in case you mess some up (which I did). Realistically it is just vinyl and stuff could happen; I just wasn't ready to spend for new wheels and at about $25 for the kit it's low risk. I imagine Plasti-Dip would have a similar durability. I did Plasti-Dip my bumper and that's held up great for 2 years but I expect to have to touch it up sometime.
Note: it does look good but if you look closely at my wheels you'll see some imperfections. It's vinyl not magic. But no one has called me out for it.

It's pizza. Really thick pizza, but different than a deep dish. Sold by the pound not by diameter.
Traditionally you put honey on the crust after eating the cheesy part. It's the best with the whole wheat crust, IMO.

This may be my path. Suspensions is all stock for now. How do you like the ride so far without the added weight yet? I feel like the stock front springs are on the stiff side.

Haven't driven it much yet. Waiting on an alignment which is scheduled for Monday.

 

After following some chatter on FB 3rd Gen forum I decided to enlist the neighbor mechanic to install the serpentine belt kit that I ordered from Rock Auto. Was not able to replace the lower idler pulley without pulling the oil filter housing off the block or the tensioner without pulling the A/C off. So 3 out of 4 pulleys and belt replaced but the ones I replaced and the belt were actually in fairly good shape after 151000 klms and being 7 years old.

 

Have the same mirrors and for the life of me, my brain can't make sense of wiring this thing up to the sequential. Happen to have a pic?

Well those are not OR wheels for one, and with the right tires I really like them! I wish I would have seen these before I bought the OEM beadlocks .

 

Gonna need the deets on those center caps! Have a set of these in my garage that I was gonna use for winters on my 3G but have been debating if I'd like them on my '12. The different cap makes a pretty big visual impact, more than I'd have guessed, but that stock one is a pretty large, bulgy hunk of plastic..

 

Thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear. I have realistic expectations, but I don't want them all peeling and falling off once it gets cold and snow on them. I plan on getting wheels and tires maybe next summer, so this is just a temporary stopgap until then. I'll probably sell the stock rims when I do, so I want to be able to remove them easy, and I think vinyl will be easier to peel off than plastidip. My friend PD'd his wheels and it took and bunch of wd-40 and a gas-powered pressure washer to get them clean.

 

I haven't done a lot of...sprucing...up just yet, but here are some terrible phone pics:

 

I did my first engine mod, installed a different cold air intake.
Then decided to add a Hatebreed decal to match my fenders.

 

Did the rear seat delete today. I wanted something minimal that still allowed me to use the storage underneath if needed. I still need to paint the panels, add tie downs for the battery box, and buy a slider for my fridge. It'll work for this weekend's trip for now though.

If anyone is curious on the measurements, the driver's side panel is 24"x20" and the passenger's side panel is 24"x32". There's about a 1/8" gap between them.
