Can anyone help? Need the actual dimensions of a 3rd gen long bed - inside top right rail to inside top left rail, and top of bulkhead inside to top of tailgate inside. I have heard that the dimensions are the same as the 2nd gen but cannot definitively confirm.

Trying to see if I can fit a 3rd gen aftermarket bed cover to my 2nd gen, as there is way more selection and availability for 3rd gen covers.

Know that inner dimensions of the composite bed are the same, and that 2nd gen has bed rails that are not level with the tailgate and bulkhead, but plan to incorporate replacement bed rails to level them out with the tailgate/bulkhead.

Appreciate any time and help you can give me. Mahalo!

Thank you; though I think these are the bed measurements rather than the top rail measurements. Since the bed cover will sit on the rails, want to confirm that the cover will sit appropriately on the 2nd gen bed, so need the measurements at the rails themselves. Appreciate you sending that though!

I have a second gen tonneau cover that I got for super cheap on my 3rd Gen (short bed). I had to remove the rubber seal to have it sit flush on top of the tailgate but other than that it’s working fine. I don’t have the measurements but I assume that, with some modifications, it's possible to use a 3rd tonneau. The main challenge will be the tailgate section.

Thanks for the info - yeah, the 2nd gen bed rails are about 3/4” higher than the tailgate and bulkhead; however, I’m planning on swapping the stock bed rail covers with something like the kb voodoo bed rails to make them flush with the tailgate and bulkhead. If the only differences between the 2nd and 3rd gen are that, I’m reasonably sure it can be made to work. Just want to confirm with the actual dimensions to be sure.
