    Hello,

I had a question on which harness to buy for my third brake light.

I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD off road and an ARE cap.

I have assumed I'd need the 60" go fast camper. I am only looking to wire up the third brake light and no other auxiliary lights etc.

I have attached a few photos on the current connector (and also assuming I would cut the connector off and just splice into the existing wires.

Also I did try and find other forums and had no such luck, at least with correlating to which specific harness I need. I also believe I may be overthinking it.

I appreciate your time in doing this, thank you!

I think you're on track with all of that.

If you can find a pigtail (or buy one from ARE) you might be able to reuse that connector and mate to it from the T portion so you can disconnect if you were to remove the shell. Or cut and use a waterproof connector. Or consider my brake T flange option but then you're on your own to feed from the flange pigtail to that connector, though you could probably ask nicely and maybe I'd remember to give you a 30 or 40" long pigtail.

    I appreciate the information!

I'll probably order the 60" camper and add in my own connection.

I don't plan to take the cap off ever, but you are correct if I ever had to it would make sense to add a connection point in there.

Thank you very much, for your time and for making legitimate solutions!
