I was wondering if the 6speed's have different shift knobs for each trim.

This is what mine the SR looks like. Slightly grippy plastic.

My 3rd gen manual had the same one but it was covered in leather. I test drove a 4th gen off road a couple weeks ago and I also think it was the leather wrapped version.

Not sure if the grey TRD shift ball (originally on trail team FJs) still fits the 4th gen’s, but I swapped to that immediately on my 2017 and liked it so much better. 3rd gen TRD pro shift knob was also pretty nice if it fits the 4th gen’s.

I never understood the obsession with changing shifter knobs. Any knob toyota has put in since 1991 has worked fine for me. I'm just happy I can shift to be honest.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
Just in general with manual transmission vehicles, but a weighted shift knob feels nicer too in a way it makes shifting feel smoother

Toyota’s penchant for cost savings knows no bounds! Interesting to see one could spend $40K on a SR and get a plastic steering wheel and shift knob. Call me an old grouch, but…
