Has anybody swapped wheels/tires on an SR with the leaf spring suspension yet (or I guess an SR5 access cab)?

Wondering If I can easily get a 33” tire in there on a set of factory wheels… ideally would like to run 265/70/18s on factory sport wheels. Thanks!

Depending on the model tire, exact dimensions can flux ~1inch.

    Online calculator says a 265/70/18 is 32.61”

I’ve seen others fit a 255/75/17 KO2 coming in at 32.1” fit on stock suspension, can’t see why another half inch would matter too much.

I imagine that is the case but just wondering what people can actually confirm. too much money to spend on educated guessing lol

I’m not sure if base coil sprung 4x4s (sr5) sit at same height as base leaf spring 4x4s… those 1/2” add up between trims and tire sizes and doesn’t seem to be much info out there yet. I also don’t want the wheel wells to be completely stuffed to the max… not really a fan of that look or associated headaches.

Just read a thread of a user fitting 285/70/17 at 32.8inches, no rubbing on the 17x7 OEM SR5 wheels. So, should be a go, as the 265s are smaller.

Yeah but was that on a SR5 with coil springs? Ive seen that done but wanting to know if the same can be said for a fact about the SRs with leaf springs.

I’m sure if you dig deep enough, you find some confirmation.

I poke around the T4G boards as well, seems most the 4G info is there.

That said, you honestly will be fine in the rear. I’d argue you could fit 35s without contact, it’s the front that rubs first. Tacomas have been stuffing 35s on stock rear for awhile with leafs. If members are not rubbing on the front with a wide 33, I’d say the rear is clear.

haha oh I have dug deep! Not much out there on SR mods yet. I’m sure they fit but just trying to get some visuals too if I can before deciding what I would go with.
