Positive / Negative oem wiring for sub

This is going to be a dumb question but considering how incorrect this metra harness fits the stock sub harness connectors is it safe to assume Green and yellow wires are the negative and Black and red are the positive? If this thing fit like it was designed to connect to them, I'd be confident. But it's like it's not even the right harness.

Ehhh, whatever. I hooked it up that way and it works. I was going to eliminate the useless connection but I put electrical tape on it instead. Seems to be working fine. I dunno. I hate electronics lol
