I just got a brand new Leer 180 installed today on my double cab. It rained tonight and I noticed that leaks were coming from around the back corners (the end against the cab). Has anyone experienced this exact problem, and what was the workaround?

There are OEM rubber plugs for those corners, that are normally used with the factory tonneau cover. Toyota part numbers are 6254104010 and 6254204010 (right and left sides). They ran me about $31 each three years ago.

They should be used as part of a complete sealing of the bed, prior to installation of the topper.

You're going to find that the biggest leak issue is with water being kicked up by the rear wheels, between the bed and the outer fender, and infiltrating under the bed caps. The remedy for this is to pull the bed caps off, put sealant under them, and reinstall. Then you put a good bulb gasket between the bed caps and your topper.

2020 tacoma trd sport long bed, I just installed these part numbers below to fill the gap, i had to cut small rectangle out of the oem bed rails to fit caps but they are in, Time will tell how well they work.
