This morning, my oil light started intermittently coming on, then stayed on. Temp gauge stayed in proper range, no noise from engine so assuming engine getting oil. Oil sending unit bad? Anybody ever mess with one?

ETA: It has done this before a few years ago, brought to my mechanic and he verified the oil pump was working.

I’d check the sending unit, definitely most likely. But if that’s not it you wouldn’t want to be driving it

Confirm first with a oil pressure gauge that you have good oil pressure. Then check the sending unit and the wiring.
