AC hose clogged or something else? (Weird spot)

    Can confirm it's clear, no scent or color. Also, no fluid at all coming out of my AC run off line


    So,

    Yesterday I just happen to notice, while the truck was running, what looked to be some water landing on my frame. It was on a hose as well, but I was unable to on detect where it came from.

    I have the AC hose extension mod done already. I have had it done for over a year, there have been no problems.

    Also, this isn't dripping in the traditional location towards the rear of the wheel well. This is towards the front. The liquid appeared clear, with no scent. I did not have a paper towel to verify though.

    I'm going to monitor it. As I noticed there was still some runoff from my hose, from the traditional spot, as to be expected with the AC on.

    Any thoughts, suggestions? My coolant levels appear normal. My power steering appears normal. My oil appears normal.

    Just a weird location in my opinion. Sorry if the photo isn't the best. You can see it on the frame and a tough on one of the lines. I'll get a better photo if it continues to progress.

    Look for AC hard lines about that area. In the right weather conditions they can sweat. Otherwise you're going to have to taste it to find out for sure what it is.

    Haha for sure. If it were trans related, assuming the fluid was in good shape, if would clearly be red. Right?

    The drip doesn’t look like water with the off color. Might need to look higher

    In hand it is clear. Well, when you touch it that is. There's also no scent. If I drip Clearwater on the frame is identical to that color lol. You made me have to verify that!

    I hear the AC cycling in the new video. Look for AC hardlines above that area.

    Also snice you were down there looking under her skirt lift her skirt at the rear of the wheel well. You can see the rear coolant cross over pipe from there. You do not want to see pink.

    AC always cycles on and off so normal. I just knew it was running by the sound.

    Good stuff. Def dripping from the top. Hard to pinpoint. Is it worth disconnecting anything, like the hose by the firewall, to see if there's a clog? Would it even make sense with where it's dripping that there would be a clog at the lower level?

    No, the hose at the cab drains the evaporator box in the cab where condensation is normal. You need to look for AC hardlines coming out of the condenser at the front of the truck. One will be hot and the other will be cold. Under extreme humidity and the right temperatures condensation my form on the cold hardline. If you look at a home AC unit you will see all the hard lines(copper tubing) covered in foam insulation. It's not always easy to insulate these in a car.

    It's Friday. You are going to have to taste it to see what it actually is.

    See you have exposed hardlines in the engine bay.

    Oh my God! I have a washer reservoir leak. You may want to taste your washer fluid too.

    Upon review, it seems excessive, but it does look like it's forming on the hard lines. No actual leak. The thing is it's not super hot, and immunity is only in the '80s.

    Drove the truck a little bit and found that there is indeed still water coming out of the hose line. So, who knows.
