I have 21 trail and have been having an issue with the gap behind the front left tire and spindle. If I reach over behind the tire and feel the gap between the inside of the tire and the bump on the spindle on the right side my finger has 2 finger widths of clearance. On the drivers side I have 1 finger width of clearance. I have replaced the spindle, hub assembly/wheel bearing, cv axle, tie rods. I got new tires and an alignment last week and when I felt the gap now both sides had the same finger widths clearance. It drove great for a week but started to get some vibration at 70mph in the passenger seat. First thing I checked was the width behind the tire and that bump on the spindle it was back to tight 1 finger width? What part could be shifting in and out like that? Any ideas would appreciated I have been trying to figure it out for a while now.

It's ok to check like that as a reference but it's not very accurate.

You need to spin the tire to see how much runout is in the side wall. Find the high spot and mark it and use that point every time you check. You also went deeper on her with your finger in the first picture.

The only thing that moves is the LCA. Check how tight the bolts are and see if the cam tabs are bent flat.
