Hey y’all, I was installing a new skid plate over the gas tank on my truck, one of the studs broke. Any suggestion on how to fix or replace broken stud?

One of the ones on the straps?

Could buy a new strap, or grind/drill the old studs off and weld a new one in place

It was the actual one of the 4 studs on the tank.

Please take another look. I’ve had my plastic skid plate off and the only studs were the ones attached to the straps that hold the tank in place. Did you remove the plastic skid plate before installing your new skid plate.

Yes I did, I see what you’re saying! So just get a new strap? Possibly a link if possible?

See post #2, however iirc the strap is stainless so it would take some good welding skills.
