Spray in Bedliner

I’ve had metal beds that I’ve put line x I abused them and not a scratch nor rust

 

And in that case, yes, spray in bedliners are awesome. They protect the metal very well. The spray would still protect the composite bed, but it wouldn't be needed to protect from RUST, which is a more structural issue. What it's protecting from is more the visual aspect when it comes to a composite bed. And if that's what you want it for, that's cool

The factory bed sides are super fragile in regards to the ease of scratching...
I dont think spray-in bedliners show scratches, especially not the the extent of the smooth bed sides on the 24's...
I saw a factory toyota spray-in liner & it looks really nice for what it is...
Really looked impressive, I was like wow...
Not anymore expensive than going to Line-X or Rhino Liners in my town...

The truck that was bought back...
I went to my old work & had one of the guys swap-out the tailpipe assy for the turndown dump..
Tossed the original tailpipe in the bed, end of the tailpipe scratched the living bejesus out of the bed side.
I was pissed to say the least...

 

Nope every truck I had line x on was bomb proof. Our plastic beds will scratch even with sanded down plywood or basically anything simply touching it

 

Firechicken! TT2's wheels should have been factory on those cars.

I had a 99 Dodge 1/2 ton for 23 years with spray-in Rhino liner. Thick, tough. Hard use, a few big gouges that would have gouged steel, but still in great shape. The wheel wells and the rocker panels rusted through, but the bed was perfect.

My current '18 Ford 1 ton wears a platinum line-x spray-in liner since new. Thinner and harder than the Rhino liner, but wears like armor and still looks like new.

When I get a Tacoma, it will also wear a spray in liner.
