I need to figure out how to clean the oxidized\rusted metal on the cylinder and head.

replacement seat covers are 20-30 bucks on ebay
hows the inside of the fuel tank looking??

should be able to find cheap replacement stickers on ebay as well for the rear fenders if you so wish, maybe try hitting the plastics with a heat gun to restore the color!!

Filled the tank with vinegar and water and a chain shook the hell out of it and let it sit for 24 hrs , pressure washed the in side then threw in baking soda and water . Shook it up rinsed it out a bunch and blew it out with the compressor. It wasn't to bad.

I was going to wet sand the plastics and polish them.
Might look into the cost to have the tank painted. Then throw on new stickers

Picked up a little trailer hitch, painted it threw it on. Clean what I could on the rusty 6 pack rack. Painted tail light housing, found an air filter box for it.
Put on a new carb( fires right up,idles beautifully but Boggs if i hit the throttle hard wont do it with the choke on a little so i need to mess with it it's getting to much air.

Ditched the chain guard housing. Replaced the on/off switch.
Still more parts on the way....

keep in mind there are aftermarket plastic fuel tank options out there, in the event you want to keep the original tank on a shelf to help fight the aging process

loving the progress, really coming along great

gonna put some love & elbow grease into those wheels??

I might get 200X hubs and go with some aluminum wheels, not that far along yet. I wanted to have the tank stripped and repainted OR maybe wet sand it and clear it.

New front tire, also picked up some rear hubs to fit my aluminum wheels. Need to pull off the sand tires and put my dirt tires on that are on the bike now, they look fairly new.
Also got a cable for the front brakes and new bars.

Test fitting my rear hubs. Waiting for my lugnuts then I'll saw my tires over to the aluminum wheels.
