I have been recently getting a shuddering between 1000 and 1500 rpms (I have replaced my drive shaft and leaf springs). This morning when going to change the oil, I realized there was transmission fluid all over the skids and it appeared to be coming from the pan. After removing the skids, I saw trans fluid not only coming from the pan, but the fluid was also by the rear main engine seal, and also on the side/ top of the trans, as well as to the rear of it. I did not find any engine oil anywhere, only flat and mission fluid. I'm thinking the pan gasket needs to be replaced, but does anyone have any thoughts or insights into whether or not I may have another spot the trans could be leaking from as well?

Get a good degreaser and clean it very well.
Monitor daily so you can see where it starts from.

It could be the input shaft seal for the transmission and getting blown around. Or it could be the pan gasket leaking and getting blown around.

May also want to just "snug" up the pan bolts being careful not to over torque and snap them off.

    Micbt25 and TnShooter like this.
