2009 TRD Sport 4x4 bought new. Recently replaced the water pump and 2 years ago front left wheel bearing. That’s it in 15 years. I’m fanatic about maintenance. I use to get a new truck every 3 to 5 years. This one’s a keeper, I’m hanging on to this one for a long time.IMG_1376.jpg

Original owner of 2006 TRD 4x4 DCSB. Had the 90k service done and some precautionary work, i.e. carrier bearing, u-joints, and drive shaft (due to some vibration) before our trip to Colorado. Other than that 18 years of great running, will be keeping my Gen 2.... love this truck

I set out looking for a low mile garage queen but could only find high mile rust buckets to drive around here. I eventually realized these things age wonderfully and I don't need to spend $30k on one with low miles to get something that's still tight and solid enough to not make me regret ditching my one year old 3G. So, I wound up with a 200k mile garage queen, and couldn't be happier; and apparently, can't stop gloating..

2005 with 153K here and the only biggie I did so far is U joints and carrier. I know the wheel bearings are a few turns away and of course the head gasket. Till then.

A little of this and a little of that.
The 2015 2nd gen Tacoma that I have in my stable is currently my daughters truck. Bought it used in ‘19 with 40k miles, it has been a great vehicle. I’ve owned two other 2nd gen trucks, and they both were trouble free.

Tacoma 9-1-23.jpg Original owner of a 2006 DCLB with 111,000 miles. Had the frame replaced in 2018 (truck was at 94,00 miles) and put a pile of money into her when I realized what a great opportunity this was to refresh an already good truck. All new shocks, struts, stabilizer bar links, steering lines and pump, needle bearing, ALL new fluids, drive shaft, and new stereo with 400 watt Hertz amp and Audison speakers. It rides like the day I drove it off the lot...maybe better. Got new headlights (OEM) for Christmas. Any place I have it serviced I'm always asked if ever think about selling it. The answer is "no".
Also new TPMS sensors when I had my last new tire purchase and a new alternator last year. Been fluid filming the truck each fall since the frame replacement and I think it has a lot to do with how quiet the vehicle is....no squeaks, rattles, anything. ;)

RedLine Tuning hood QuickLIFT, Gen3 alloy 16x7J, All Pro Off-road bed stiffeners & IFS skid plate
Barcelona Red 2009 ACLB 4wd SR5-DLT 4 cyl. 5 spd. that Dad ordered new as it was his last truck (thus the -DLT, and there are a number of those low mile trucks around TW). Stock, with my idea accessories added that Dad would have appreciated. Installed a Bambeds platform and bed sliders, Extruded Solutions, Inc. tailgate seal, LC Engineering exhaust header (Pro Flow cat-back exhaust system for the future), Bilstein 4600 shock absorbers are on hand (and a set of 5100s just in case as prices were going up 5% a week), bed stiffeners and an aluminum powder coated front IFS skid plate (22 lbs.), and there's more. I enjoy Barcelona Red, and it will become a DLT for my children and grands. Crutchfield ReadyHarness (pre-wiring with OEM plugs) service with a Sony single-DIN CD/AM/FM stereo receiver (2-channel Bluetooth), and 3-way 6x9 Infinity Reference 9633ix speakers in the front door after HushMat sound deadening insulation was applied have been great as a DIY project.
Parker Toyota is a great dealership, and Glacier Undercoating is a friendly couple doing NHOU frame treatment by appointment as they're primarily in the construction business at Kalispell, MT only five hours away, and I've spent time in the Flathead River country west of Glacier NP.
