Ducati Desert X!

 

I was turned off by Ducati with the Scrambler I had before this. I cant reset my own oil change light?!
With the AT I can check codes, and schedule maintenance from the screen that is built into the bike.

I got the new to me Seat Concepts seat installed 2 weeks ago, and repainted the grab bars. But I havent rode since before putting those on. Was working on a truck project, and now its in the 40s in the morning! Too cold for me lol. At least the afternoons are still mid 70s. But if I wasnt so tired from working all day, I would go on a ride. And I really need to before the real cold sets in, an my season is over.

Couple things that I want to do this year - go camping one more time. And order the high mount exhaust that I have saved, from HP Corse. And then sell my Arrow can to that other guy here (forgot his name, Evan I think). I think Ive got my bag situation figured out. Mosko R40, Kriega 40L top bag, and another Kriega 5L on the top of that. Plus my chair and my crocs lol. If anyone is interested in the Tusk tent pole bag, id sell it pretty cheap. Oh and Ive started building a tool kit. Purchased a Craftsman 11 piece 1/4 drive set, and a socket rail. I want to add a couple axle wrench/spoons, and maybe get those forged aluminum MotionPro bead breakers.

That's a good note. I know nothing of owning one, just love the looks. Sounds like a typical euro type vehicle then, everything needs dealer intervention, pity.

 

its a really neat bike in person but if you have seen it in person its got a few things that look to be in a danger zone for if it gets dropped.

 

Exactly!

I share a pair of the steel ones with the neighbor. Thats only inconvenient when one of us isnt home though.

 

Other than price, that's another no go for me. I will drop it, and regret will kick in.

 

ya i really liked it when i checked it out at the adventure ride i did. wasnt able to ride it thou... but something a buddy pointed out is the water pump sits right at the front on the left side and sticks out and is pretty low down. so if you drop it without a skid boom no more water pump. even with a skid id be worried about dropping it on that side. i cant remember all the other things my friends knit picked about it comparing it to the t7s they both have lol

the bike doesnt normally have that metal crash bar on it. in person it sticks out a good bit sadly!
