I want to post some pics I'll take later today, and wanted to offer same option to any other TW member. Post what you want Hurricane Milton related, or for that matter Helene related since that hurricane passed by just a couple weeks ago.

My gripe is, last night went to bed about 10 pm, woke at 1:30 a.m. when the really noisy wind finally subsided, and now can't seem to get to sleep again. :annoyed:

Woke up to sound of trucks, before 5:00 am, was sure I was hearing things, so found this outside my front door, my neighbors fallen tree was blocking the road. Crews on-site to take down remaining perilous tree.

We had massive tornado blow through here yesterday...EF3 ran from Wellington to Jupiter. Crazy shit missed my house by less than a mile.

Looking over the fence at the road behind my house. Quite a few cars tried to make it through and had to be pushed out.
Lots of tree, fence and roof damage in the neighborhood.
I feel really bad for the people at ground zero.

Yup, it's a lot of work cleaning up. I have a million branches all over yard that are too big to hit with mower, and too small and numerous to rake. Oh did I mention, I hate raking.

I finally got water on!! 1.5 days with no water is pretty bad. Wow. Guys show up in daytime and finished about 9pm. They had to cut and clear the fallen grand oak first. Hey I'm pretty happy.

Electric still off, generator cooling fridges.

Outage map shows still about a half million without electricity.

We just got power and water back on yesterday. First time the pool has ever over flowed. Drained 10 inches before the storm and had the pump running till the power went out at about 5am. We had some tree size branches go down, no major damage everyone is safe.

    Water break pic. (perilous tree)

Pic does not do justice, that hole appeared to be 6' deep.

Generator doubled as critter hangout. Cleaned that out, what type of scat? Rat or squirrel?

Mitigated the breach with thick wire mesh.

I feel your pain in 2004 Hurricanes we were without power for close to three weeks, had a generator, but constantly fueling it was a PITA and expensive.

Power is on as of about 2:00 pm today. This is a relief. :)
