I put 17" X 7" TRD Pro wheels and new tires on my 21 Sport. Tires are Michelin 265/65 which is standard tire size. I got a shake at 65-75 mph and had tires balanced including Road Force balancing which checked wheels and tires for distortion.

I've still got the vibration (steering wheel shake) at cruising speed although less severe than before RF balancing. 50K miles on the truck.

Any suggestions on what else is likely wrong? At 50K miles I don't expect tie rod or U-joint issues but wondering if others have had this issue?
    Thanks,

Did it do this before the Wheels/Tires was replaced?

Hi, No, worn out Toyo OME tires on stock wheels didn't shake. Stock wheels were 7&1/2" but I don't see how that would play into the equation.

    Thanks

If it Didn't have this problem till the wheels / tires was replaced....i would figure the problem would be the wheels or tires

    ya probably right
Isn't it funny how a problem can arise right after work is done
Instead of taking it back to where work was done they go on a forum to try to find cause and solution

    Likely 4runner TRD Pro wheels.

Either way its an installer issue. Road force never really fixes these kinds of vibrations for me, I have to watch the tire and wheel on the balancer to see if its any good.

If they are knock off TRD rims its likely the issue, michelins rarely have issues balancing.
