Was driving home the other day and leaving a gas station the idle went rough and the vehicle would barely accelerate. Limped home thankfully. Check engine light and traction control off light came on.

Did the MAF cleaner and filled up a tank with added stp injection cleaner. Started it again traction light was gone. Disconnected battery and now the check engine light is gone as well.

however now at idle in the driveway im noticing a quick bounce down every 20-50 seconds it seems like. Like a really fast flicker.

Whats my next move? Change spark plugs? Im at 65,000 miles on a 5 year old truck.

    Thanks in advance!

Could be the crankshaft position sensor? I know when that thing is on the fritz all sort of weird stuff happens, limp mode being one of them if remember correctly.

But you should have the codes pulled..that'll tell you where to look. Also, you just left the gas station when it happened, did you fill up? Bad gas?

Well, I hope not the crankshaft position sensor for your sake, but if it is true, talk to @MR E30 about it. His mouse made him have to take practically the top of the whole engine off to get between the heads.
