This truck is so bad that after a few minutes or an hour my legs and my lower back hurts and then my neck stiffens up because of my head being tilted forward because of the headrest. Is there a better solution to all this? My job has me sit in this truck for quite a long time. Need help, thanks

Seat jackers can change the height of the front or rear of the seats and and aftermarket seats would get rid of the head rest altogether.

Yeah seat jackers will fix the seat position. Not sure what to say about the head rest.

I pulled the headrest out and turned it around yesterday. Like it much, much better all ready. Read that you might just as well not have it rather than turn it around in the event of being rear ended. Hopefully I never have to prove that to be correct.

I also read about turning the headrest around, I tried it and it worked. I am not a mechanic engineer but it only moves the rest back about 4 “ and will stop your head well before whiplash(I think).

Seat jackers are not for you if you are a tall person because they will require you to adjust the seat back and tilt it more and then changes the angle of your arms when driving and I had to move them from driver to passenger side after a week. Sad because they def made the seat WAY more comfortable with that little bit of extra lift support under your knee area, kinda like a bra but not really. My passengers, not knowing about them, have commented on how comfortable the seats are in a Tacoma LOLOLOL...

As for reversing the headrest, it might invalidate insurance claims in a bad accident since the engineers did not test the tensile strength and pressure absorption of the headrest tubes in a backward position and I'd be worried that the investigators would see that and then the insurance companies would block the claims for neck/head injury...caveat emptor.

I figure if turning the headrest around is a safety issue there would be a giant, permanent brightly coloured sticker on the back saying so. Sorta like the ones on the visors telling you air bag basics.

I take it your work truck (company owned vehicle) is a fairly base model? I ask because I have full power seats and have no issues finding a comfortable position for many-many hours on the road. I think the longest I've done (including bio-breaks) is about 12 hours straight.

my SR work truck has the adjustable lumbar support but the butt cushion doesn’t go up or down, which means my very short wife can’t drive it.

By sitting, are you driving long hours, or are you sitting on site (stationary)?

Is this your truck or is this a company fleet issue?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
You aren't seriously implying that steel rods bend easier in one direction than another, are you?

Adjust so you’re leaning back further in the seat.

But leaning back pulls your arms further away from the steering wheel...

You guys should send pictures and measurements of yourselves just to confirm you are not built in a strange way...:)

There are always complaintson the board (suprise), but I find the seats (and seating position) quite comfy - even on long trips.

I am 6'-1" and 205 and have plenty of adjustment room still available... :notsure:

I just assume a lot of people have a low threshold for discomfort and many of them own Tacoma's.
