My tire guy utilized the original TPMS sensors without issue.

We just got home from a 6 night trip pulling the travel trailer down to Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores. Very enjoyable trip. There's a few more details here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-travel-trailer.795383/page-4#post-29741704

I didn't get to this spot in 2wd. ;) I also turned on crawl control for the 1st time ever.... I didn't need it but wanted to try it out. Pretty neat.

We saw dolphins jumping up in the water in the background here.

One cool thing about this trip is we were camping at the Luxury RV Resort in Gulf Shores for our last 3 nights and randomly met another TW member that was also staying in the park. It was great meeting Greg and his wife Susan. @gkritter

After 14k miles with the Headstrong 3AAL, the dreaded leaf spring squeak has wore me down. I'm going to drill holes in the ends of the next two leafs and add pads (like the rest of the leafs). Hopefully prevent the squeaking.... will see. I've brushed grease in these spots and the squeak goes away so I'm hopeful this will help.

I ended up doing this(instead of previous post) to prevent leaf pack squeak. Stuff was easy to work with. I simply cut to length and trimmed the ends to the same profile as the two Headstrong leafs that were metal to metal. It's pretty visually unnoticeable too. Installed this April 18, 2024 at 14644 miles. 2 months and 1500 miles later and things are still quiet. Have had Head strong 3AAL and still happy with it now that the squeak is gone.

I ordered from Speedway Motors for $31 shipped for 20'(after $10 promotion for first order).

How has this solution been holding up? Thought about something similar but would only do it differently by potentially adding a dry film lubricant on top of the material in between the leafs.

Leaf springs are still as quiet as it can be. Zero noise. Installed on April 18 so it's been 6 months and about 4500 miles.

I still have not done my 2000 Taco but sure do want to.

Good looking truck. Very tasteful. This is how they should come from the factory!
