What is this? 2008 Tacoma WRDaccess cab

Stupid question what is this

 

It appears to be an exhaust hanger. Is the other end of the rod connected to anything?

 

Had a bad differential seal and it sprayed fluid underneath my truck. Got the seal replaced and everything is good But for the life of me. I have no idea what this box is. I did not spend much time trying to figure it out because I’m sure everybody on this forum knows what it is.

Ahh....the black box thingy. I believe it's part of the fuel tank vent/emission crap.

 

My bad. it’s the rectangular “black box” with the red arrow pointing at it. But you are correct in what jumps out at ya is a hanger. Thanks for the response
