Gasoline is the most energy dense fuel available to an average home owner, then propane, then natural gas.
Benefit of propane is that it can be stored almost indefinetly, unlike gasoline. Natural gas supplies are often uninterrupted by natural disasters. Unless lines are physically damaged, NG will flow. Propane and gas eventually run out.
Numbers for a tri fuel Westinghouse
    13000/12000/10000 Peak | 10500/9500/8500 Rated Watts (Gas/LPG/NG).

Liquid cooled diesel generator will outlive any of the options above, but it is much heavier, less homeowner friendly than a gasoline one. But treated diesel can be stored longer than gasoline. I wonder if a diesel gennie can be tuned to run on vegetable oil? Almost indefinite shelf life for fuel.

LOL. The Amazon Chinese generator manufacturers can write whatever they want on the outlet but that wont make it defy Ohms law.

If you can run a 50amp 4ton AC with your $1600 generator, my hat is off to you.

I wonder about a possible fire hazard with those batteries sitting near the ceiling in the hot AZ summers. :notsure:

They probably don't last as long but have been zero issues that I've heard of.

yeah they were entertaining. been through them all though.

in that first book when he was walking home they described a Maxpedition sling bag that he kept a handgun and essentials in. I picked up a Maxpedition Jumbo Versapack. I sometimes carry it with a full sized handgun, water bottle, med kit, and a 10x monocular. Kinda looks like I'm carrying a camera except the few molle loops makes it look tactical.

I was cleaning out some electronic files and came across this photo. It was 4-5 months after we started teleworking 100% from covid. I came into the office to clean out a couple things and decided to check the fridge. I wouldn't dare open any dairy products, but you can see that this is a sure way to ......

Any of you watching precious metal market?
Silver took a slight dip today.
BRICS+ announced creating their own PM exchange. BRICS+ and Global South is where most of the of the precious metals come from. COMEX will not be able to control the PM prices like they do now, once BRICS+ Exchange gets going.

More prepping getting done! Cut firewood most all weekend little tractor was a big help. We don’t regularly burn wood but I need to go to Tractor supply and grab a fire grate let the grid drop we will stay warm.

Lots of splitting to get done

Excellent! Cutting firewood is almost year around for us and it's usually huge Doug Fir tree's. I have a problem with my Stihl saw right now. I can't keep the muffler from rattling off. It has two bolts and no matter what I try, the bolts back out. I tried Rocksett which I use on rifle muzzles. Tried Threadlocker which doesn't really make sense because heat breaks it loose. The anti-vibration springs look good.

I can’t say I’ve seen that problem before. I kinda figured the loctite would take care of it even with the heat if rock set won’t lock it up I have no idea.
We used to burn about 6-7 cords of wood a year but with back and shoulder issues I backed off for a while. It’s a readily available option for me though keep us warm though I ought to get chimneys checked. I do keep about a months supply of coal ready also it just got too expensive

I'm kind of stumped too. Then, I had an operation yesterday so it will be a few days before I can get back to it. Hydrocelectomy, look it up at your own risk. :(

    I hope you heal quickly.

I have a story that might make you feel better about the procedure you had done:

Long story short, I have a childhood friend who was out kiteboarding in the ocean but instead of using the traditional kiteboard, he was using a thicker fiberglass surfboard. Somehow he was airborne and when he came down, his surfboard was sideways(so the rail of the board was facing upright). He fell down as quickly as gravity would bring him down with the rail of the surfboard facing straight up between his legs. Now, here is when the story gets rough. When he fell with the rail of the surfboard impacting him between the legs…his kiteboarding harness that he was using was a very tight fit and did not allow for his testicles to displace upon impact. So, one of his nuts took the full force of him falling and landing on the surfboard rail. This ruptured his testicle and put him in tremendous pain. I met him at the hospital where they were getting him ready for surgery. He had to have his actual testicle sutured closed as well as his scrotum. We worked for the same company at the time and when he came back to work, he was wearing baggy sweatpants and was walking like he had a sack of potatoes swinging between his legs.

To this day I tease him about it. Even though it’s close to every man’s nightmare.

ouch, I have sutures in my scrotum and a drain tube. I started using maxi pads to absorb the drainage. but it will be great when all is healed. I had 500cc's of fluid in there.

sorry we got off topic. maybe we can turn this into a "do you know how to suture?" I have this practice kit linked below. Has anyone ordered the Jase Medical antibiotics? a guy at work is waiting on an order.
