just did a change of gen1 2003 automatic tranny. pulled pan, changed the filter. buffed off all of the old gasket remains from the pan & tranny housing. sprayed 3-m adhesive to pan edged then pot black rubber gasket in place, smoothed down gasket to get even, flat purchase.
cleaned dip stick filler tube ends. put a few dabs of silicone on the lower end of dip stick tube [the smaller diameter facing down part. jammed a rag down the dipstick filler tube on tranny pan to clean out so it would seal when added to the upper dip stick tube. put silicone on top of the tranny gasket then pushed the pan in place connecting dip stick tube. used bail wire to keep tranny pan up and began to thread bolts on opposite ends to keep & in place. some of the silicone went into bolt holes, so i rushed to get all bolts in before that stuff got hard...some bolts were hard to hand thread, so i used my pneumatic socket wrench hoping that potting some pressure on the bolts, that they would just go. i screwed up 3 bolt threads and they just spin, never tightening up. now i got a slow leak where two bolts are not pulling the pan tight enough to seal it. how can i either re-thread the 3 screws that just spin? re tap them i size larger or wat? thanks Greg

If they're an M6 thread you can probably run a 1/4" SAE tap in and put 1/4" bolts in the holes that are stripped.
