So that's my main question is are the slotted rails enough support for that setup? I mean worst case if could run a leg down to the floor

I'm not really sure what you are accomplishing with that bed cage. It adds almost no strength without actually connecting nodes.

These are worth every penny. So much easier and safer for working on stuff at full droop.

Mine have for a ton of trips. But I think the fact that mine sits real low helps out too.

What rack is that. Can't stand the look of stamped steel with bunch of cheese graters on the side. Want some low profile tubes

They are relentless fab low profile bed bars that I added 2 other tubes to make it one piece. Just looked at their website and don’t see them anymore. I had to slot the holes in them when I went fiberglass bedsides.

How are you planning on incorporating the RTT now that you have all that steel in the bed taking up space?

I'm not....pretty much done RTT camping with this truck. I'm old and primitive camping is just not fun anymore...its all hotels or RV's from here on out. So if anyone is interested in the RTT speak up...you just may get a deal

Cali-raised does some where the bar sits at the bed rail height. However, they are about three times the price they should be. I would just do some 8020 tubes or DOM tubing and some angle iron if I wanted it low. does some that are about 8" heigh.

Back in 2017 @whatthepho(may he Rest In Peace) and a few other buddies got together one night and made my RTT bedcage. All together under 100 bucks in materials. A simple design and has held up just fine over the years. Its not perfect but ill never get rid of it.

The feet rests on top of the bed rail, but bolts into the side rail thing with nuts welded to some washers and slid through the back side slots

Side note, any of you all familiar with the 2012-15 (maybe more) secondary air injection systems ? :bananadead:

    got these codes:
P2441; switching valve bank 1 stuck closed
P2443; switching valve bank 2 stuck closed
P2445; pump stuck off bank 1
codes today along with limp mode while at work. I also noticed the SAS pump didn’t run on the cold start this morning.

I’ve checked the fuse in the main engine box, good.
Plugged 12v to the pump itself, and it runs.
Preliminarily checked the harness and connectors to the pump and both of the switching valves on the passenger side valve cover, look OK no corrosion and no obvious wire fray or damage, But stuff is still pretty dusty from my trip this past weekend.

My main question is with the trio of codes, would the pump not running cause the other two switching valve codes to appear subsequently?
Or possibly the inverse, stuck valves causing the pump to not Run?

I plan on doing a bit better of an inspection on the wiring tomorrow after work, as well as pulling off the switching valve assembly and plugging it up to 12 V to ensure it functions as well.

My buddies truck had a stuck valve and it would not turn on his air injection pump. Truck kept going into limp mode. I can’t remember exactly but I want to say we changed them out or took them apart and cleaned off a lot of the build up internally.

I have several of the older KB Voodoo bed bars that mount to the factory rail tiedowns.

These, plus the later ones that were stronger and reinforced.

Most likely the switching valves. The tacoma ones are pricey. The tundra ones are cheaper and interchangeable with the tacoma but the plugs are oriented differently. Just need to loosen up the harness some and the plugs will reach the tundra orientation.
