I ended up ordering F5 17x8.5 with -10 offset. I know 265/70/17 will fit without issues. I want to know your opinion if 285/70/17 will fit or will it rub with a -10 offset? Cooper rugged trek. 2024 TRD OR. Thanks

Edit: I don’t want to remove or trim anything, and I also want to put cali raised mudflaps

Appreciate the reassurance, I’m just worried that my negative offset will affect it differently because all the posts I have seen are with positive offset from +55 to as far as +25… major thing is I don’t want to take anything off and also put on mudflaps. I might just contend with 265/70/17 <- this setting will be basically the same weight as OEM wheels (65-66 lbs) which is pretty awesome. The 285’s are only 3-4 lbs heavier than OEM.

I’m kind of coming to a conclusion that I should keep a stock tire size (265s) which will put NO stress on the engine.

275/70R17 is another option, or I went the other way 255/75R17.

Be advised that 285/70-17 as a spare will stow underneath, but will hang rather low (and may be objectionable to some).

Those Rugged Treks are an XL load rated tire, yes? When you get them, please post up your thoughts and a review after driving with them for a while. They are on my short list of tires to look at this fall.
