Been reading everyone trying fixes on this issue.I’ve had it on my 15 and now on my 16 taco. Best fix and location is jamming your finger in the upper top of door between the insulation and metal frame of door. That won’t last long because it hurts. I use a plastic shim you get from Home Depot and wedge up there after the door is closed and it works every time.
just my input it’s temporary but works.

Is this something that is supposed to affect all 3rd gens?

Never heard of any wind issues.
