The day has finally come. A new baby makes us a two-kid family, and it's time for a larger truck. I’m offering my 2012 DCSB TRD Sport Tacoma w/ 98,XXX miles for $19,000. I’m based out of Arlington, VA. I’ve priced it consistent with the KBB and CarGuru’s price range for private sales. Pics are attached for those at the very bottom of this post.

The truck is in great mechanical shape and very good cosmetic shape. I am the second owner. The first owned the truck for 60K miles, and it was purchased certified from a Toyota dealership. They did 100% of the recommended maintenance at the dealership, and I have all those records. I’ve done many of the oil changes, filters, etc., myself, and didn’t save good records, but whenever I did bring it in, I have most of those.

Here are the details: good and bad

Upgrades ($5K-ish if you include the tires):

    • Icon extended travel coil overs (non-resi) - They are due for a rebuild and could be cleaned up a bit. The coils are plasti-dipped red. You can peel it off if you don't like it.
    • JBA Upper Control Arms
    • Rear Bilstein 5125 (extended travel over 5100s)
    • Wheelers offroad 1.5 inch add a leaf and 1.5 inch block
    • Knock off TRD Pro headlights (good condition)
    • SoS bolt-on Sliders w/ grade 8 hardware (seems they went out of business, but they were an amazing company)
    • 34/10.5/17 Ko2s. Five of them, spare is full size and fits under the bed (had to hammer some stuff for that). The four on the truck I’d guess are 75% tread with some uneven inner wear (purchased new when I put them on the truck). The spare is 50% (I bought the spare used). The spare is on a TRD Sport Alloy wheel, not a steel wheel. I do have the original spare on the steel wheel as well, which will come with the truck. The spare fits in the stock spare location, I hammered some stuff to make it happen.
    • Brand new battery
    • The bike rack does not come w/ the truck. I just didn't take it off for pics since I use it and it is heavy.
    The good:
    • Paint in overall great shape for the age. I’ve been meticulous about washing and waxing with quality products. Any dings and scrapes I could find are pictured.
    • Mechanically in perfect shape. Fresh oil change.
    • Interior in great shape, but messy with the kids. I’ll get it detailed and post pictures ASAP.
    • Great starting point for an overland build. Not a good buy if you want a stock truck.

    The bad:

    • The cab mount chop is ugly for fitting the 34’s. I cut it, welded it closed, then hammered it back and trimmed a bit more. But no rubbing on the frame. I’ll post up a picture.
    • Surface rust and corrosion on frame and suspension. It has been a mid-Atlantic truck.
    • Some squeaking in the rear. I think it’s the pads between the leaf springs. They are toast at this point.
    • I think the serpentine belt is starting to go. I’ll try to replace that ASAP and remove this bullet if I get it done.

I welcome any questions and will get interior pics up ASAP.

Hey all - sorry for the delay here. It's not sold yet. I also still owe some interior pictures. I'll get that done. Thanks, all!
