Always just kept stock wheels and tires on any trucks. I would eventually like to change out the oem steel wheels on the sr and go from all weather to all terrain with the least amount of cost and effect to the performance.
Basically just give it a nicer look and enhance traction need i have to go through an area with our very loose sugar sand we have in our area. Not intending to go off road riding for pleasure, not yet anyway lol I don’t know that this truck should be doing much off road anyway and wheels and tires can obviously get very expensive. The least expensive way to dress it up some without having to do other mods and negatively affecting performance as far as wheels and tires.

Find a set of OEM wheels from a 3rd Gen TRD truck and buy yourself new tires that fit your needs

Cheapest option would be to upsize to a better A/T tire and keep the steelies. Or you could buy TRD Knockoff rims, like I did, and save a ton.

Which wheels did you go with? Yours look great. Want the OEM PRO wheels, just don’t like the price.

Falken Wildpeak AT 4Ws LT 285/70R17s (33 x 11.5) on Black Rhino Primm wheels. Bilstein 6112s with 1/2” RSG spacers and Dobinson billet aluminum fully adjustable upper control arms up front. Bilstein 5160s with Icon multi-rate leaf spring packs in the rear. It equates to a 3” lift. I happen to like the way it looks but the improvements not only make it better off-road, the overall ride quality improved on paved roads as well. My goal was to improve the off-road capability and to try to minimize undercarriage damage on the occasional surprise obstacle. Maybe a little more coin than you want to spend, but to me, it has been worth every penny.

They are called Replika and they go for less than $800 Canadian, with free shipping. You get the center caps too, but not the TRD logos. Bought vinyl inlay's separately.

I got a sticker and some cool valve stem caps...
The route I went was the most affordable, quality, aftermarket setup I could find that fit my style.

Fifteen52 wheels... they run sales up to 25% off or on Black Friday they usually have buy 3 get 1 free. I went 16x8 because they were cheaper and I prefer more sidewall.

Falken Rubitrek (265/75/16 or 265/70/17)... on simpletire there is often a $100 off coupon for Falkens. They usually run $181 each at full price. These have the same compound and inner design as the wildpeak at3w, just a different tread design.

Can’t help with the wheels, but for tires, just replaced the OEM Wranglers with Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus. (The plus is important as the first gen version was crap, apparently.) purchased via Walmart interface, from simple tire. Installed by Walmart with road hazard and lifetime balance & rotation for $750 total. These tires look amazing, grip the road very well, and reduced cabin road noise by at least 50 percent. I’ve got about 3,500 miles on the Pirelli’s and couldn’t be happier. IMG_9705.jpg

stock 265 70 16......but a 265 75 16 will add an inch taller tire and if its an AT tire will look fatter/full because of the tread
