Ha! Not for the 4lo Fitty as them days are over now that the Taco sports the YotaWerx 2.1 AD+ unless truly needed!

I added some tie down loops using the Toyota 3rd Gen kits (Probably the same for 2nd Gen’s). Now I ASSumed the plastic washer was only there to hold the bolt in place. But the plate and screw were moving in tandem after the final torque down, and yeah, even after a small impact wrench as 23 foot pounds wasn’t enough. Well, I tried to remove it to add a thin washer, but now it’s a permanent fixture on the SR5 :anonymous: Toyota pinched(?) the end of the threads on the nut.

So I went out and got a 1/2” circlip at Lowes (GO BLUE!!!!!) Short of using a grande impact, this will do. Weird thing is the other side didn’t do the same.

Now I can safely store the Craftsman work table that I take to the races. Hopefully this helps someone!

I added a loop to split between my storage case and fridge. It has been great. Got them from a big box store in May of 2022. It has been handy and good to go.

After this pic, I did use another of the D ring brackets under the nuts. I don't have a handy pic of that.

Good stuff Tone, I like that extra bolt. Looks sturdy. These plastic beds are surprisingly sturdy. I used to drop large Eucalyptus rounds from the top rail of the bed on the 2nd Gen’s I had. Never had any issues.

    Thanks!

Agreed. The beds are solid. Other than the need for stiffeners, I would say at least as strong as steel. But then, folks have posted up steel beds that have spread also.

Real good stuff the more I look at it. I just noticed it appears the d rings tucks under the ridges, so one still has the opportunity to lay an object or material flat on the bed floor. Dig it hometown.

Thats what I hated about d rings under the bed bolts. They got in the way sometimes, unless the loaded object is heavy, like a dirt bike or heavier, then I understand.

The Hummvee ones that I got are flush with the heads. It is nice to be able to load flat stuff.
