So 3 months ago i installed Icon AAL +1.5" on my Tacoma, unfortunately i don't have photo of measurements but before installation distance between central hub and fender lip was 22"( odo nearly 25k). Right after installation it was 23.3" . I also uninstalled overload spring as it was mentioned in manual

But few months later - in September i started noticing that something was going wrong - suspension started feeling cranky and soft. I made measurement and it showed 21"
Here i need to mention that before AAL installation, i installed BA4x4 bumper - nearly 110 lbs.

and i decided to look for options. i stopped with Icon RXT, and 3rd stage because im going to install bed rack later this winter. Installation was quite easy except you need 4 hands to adjust it to 3rd stage. took nearly 2,5 hours in my friend's shop.
and after installation it showed 25" distance between central hub and fender lip, after 3 days it is 24.5 so real lift is nearly 2.5" and i think it will settle a little later.

    Conclusion and thoughts:
    1. Icon AAL performance heavily depends on your original suspension wear. I believe that if i installed in the very beginning it will perform better.
    2. Maybe it is a good idea NOT to uninstall overload spring.
    3. If you have additional weight like bumper\bed rack - it is not a good option for you.

in defense for AAL Icon - is pretty easy for install - you dont need to disassemble whole leaf spring pack. but you need to cut

Yes I did. Even added grease to them.

These retainers below are what squeaked on the new ICON RXT. They are easily removable, I greased these and all noises went away. Picture is of a stock leaf*

I retired from the Army with bi-lateral hearing loss (was around too many things that made loud booms) so if my RXT leaf pack squeaks I guess I just can't hear it.

I’m a former Marine 0311 (your guys version of 11b) I have 95 percent total hearing loss in my right ear my ear drum got blown out so I can’t even locate sound anymore but unfortunately I can still hear every single rattle creak and squeak from the rigs I’ve owned

the multileaf aals are not for extra weight. they actually handle weight worse than stock because the overload leaf is no longer functional even when installed. icon themselves say this. the single leaf aals will hold more weight and keep the overload leaf functional. also reduce axle wrap. much more functional than blocks.
