Alright, what’s the master list for this?

For example, the power tailgate lock actuator. OEM part!

Another example, the bed lights. OEM part!

What else is there? My 2020 TRD PRO 6MT is fully loaded, but didn’t come with either of those.

those are the only 2 oem options that are functional. everything else is for aesthetics only.

All of that stuff is either port or dealer installed but it seems that there is no logic to how they decide to do this, perhaps an occasional robust inventory on hand. My son's 3G Tacoma came with the tailgate lock and bed lights but mine did not. In any case, dealer markup on this stuff is high so IMO it's much cheaper to add it after purchase. A few months ago I bought an OEM remote tailgate lock kit at less than half of the price shown on the picture above. Earlier I was able to buy OEM mudguards at the local dealer for a bit less than $60. Installation took about 20 minutes. Beats paying the dealer $130.

I have the Toyota approach lighting kit I think that is what they call it. It lights up the underbody and has two nice under the dash lights that slowly dim to a soft light while driving.

Ok but what about keyless entry for MT’s?? Seriously? Are there better key options either?

You mean touchless entry that you don't have to touch your key and can just grab the handle. I think the reason why the manuals dont have those keys and you have to turn the ignition is because of the clutch start cancel because other manual toyotas at the time had the push button ignitions. The new 4th gen manuals come with push button ignition though. Also odd how the manuals never got paired with the JBL sound system on any trim level.

if they did come with those 2 things then the msrp would have been $600 MORE

Aggravating af. But yes that’s what I mean. And there are plenty of stick shift cars with push to starts. S550 mustang being the first that comes to mind. I don’t see why you can’t have a push to start with a clutch start cancel switch.

Also didn’t realize that even TRD pros didn’t come with JBL. I always thought I had it, but come to think of it, I don’t see any jbl logos anywhere.

My '17 OR came with a chrome grill. WTF was Toyota thinking. Of course I had them throw in the Heritage grill.

My 2022 TRD Sport 6MT is showing two non-package optional equipment items:
    • Tonneau Cover -- $650
    • All-Weather Floor Liner/Door Sill Protector -- $248

As I understand it, there are exactly zero 3rd gen Tacomas with manual transmissions and JBL audio; the two are mutually exclusive.

I ordered the tail gate lock and the LED bed lights and they were both port installed.
