Hello, just purchased a used 2022 Tacoma with some things abut instrument lighting. When I put the head lights on the instruments are lit, but the radio screen is not lit. I can put the lights on another setting and the radio lights go on but the instrument lights are off.

On page 8 of the Toyota 2022 Tacoma Quick Reference Guide it shows a brightness control knob on the bottom right area of the speedometer, but my car does not have this intensity knob. Otherwise, can someone let me know how to get the illumination on both the radio screen and the instrument panel at the same time?

When u tap the display settings, with the lights on a button appears that says “day mode”
It dims the screen while the head lights are on…. If you uncheck the box then the screen with be bright when the headlights are on. The day mode box only appears when the headlights are switched on

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels

The button that you press to cycle through your Odometer and Tripometers should be the "knob" to change the brightness. Don't press it, twist it.

It should be noted that this option is invisible under certain circumstances. This messed me up for a long while early on but now I don’t recall what the parameters are… I think the headlights have to be on? I remember I looked and looked but couldn’t find it until it was dark outside. Maybe I was only trying to find it with the headlights set to auto during the day?

OP; building on post #3 it’s the knob that you press to cycle from odo>trip a>trip b. You twist it repeatedly in small increments like murd3rd stated
