I doubt if they can, the supply chain won't allow that to happen. Parts go to the factory, trucks come out of the factory. It's all A to B there is no C There are no 4G Tacoma parts coming out of Mexico assembly plants, at least not a whole engine assembly that went to Mexico from Alabama. That would be my guess, if certain new Tacoma parts can not be obtained.

Same here... definitely a small world! My Mom's side was from the Bronx also and Dad from Hell's Kitchen.

Things are now in motion and I know I'm the one that has to now make things happen. Dealership is useless.

Late reply. Like some people wrote, time to “Lemon Law” this shit. Too much BS!

 

Get a news-station involved. Until the press shows up with cameras rolling and microphones shoved in the managers face nothing
is going to happen. I wouldn't settle for anything less than a full refund ( ie: Toyota takes the truck back and undoes-the-deal ) plus
compensation of some sort for the time you spent dealing with them.

I might be open to a brand-new-truck with a free platinum warranty and zero percent financing or some other pot sweetener. ...

That’s simply not how the process works. There are already laws that specify how the dealer has to make the customer whole in the case of a lemon law claim and none of it involves free tires for life, special 0% financing or any other kind of voodoo.

 

Final inspection…

 

Lemon Law process started (thank you slater) and already heard from Toyota and they have made initial contact with the dealership. I have decided not to do this on my own though... will be getting a Lemon Law Attorney ... researching them now.

 

Thats ok too, but really not needed & wont be any faster.....
I actually was consulting with Quill & Arrow the entire time during my process.
They stated after I filed, there wasnt much more they can do as I did everything right...
They stated keep them in the loop & they can jump-in after toyotas response...
But, I know you have alot going-on, it will eliminate any stress....

I mean, it would be funny to shame the dealer after OP gets a complete refund for sure..seems they weren't exactly a big help, at the best case.
