Head math says I've seen them 10 times. Starting around 1985. I believe the last time was during the Load/Reload era. I vaguely remember there being other bands with them, but not sure which ones. The only show I vividly remember is lucking into 2nd row seats in college. Folks in front of us got passes to the Snake Pit, so we moved up. We were front row, stage right the entire evening. My dreams had come true. Richmond Coliseum, 1992 so would've been Black Album timeframe.

They were a lot more technical with Dave Mustaine on Killemall and Ride the lightning . And was a lot better with Jason Newsted. But now with all the group therapy crap and meditation crap and James trying to sing . My opinion . They suck!

Their music has sucked since The Black Album but I really started to hate them when they did that really boring Some Kind of Monster documentary and Trujillo was in there talking about what Metallica was all about when he'd been in the band for about 20 minutes.

Honestly, I thought their new album is pretty well put together. Inamorata is my favorite song off that album.

I'm of a different opinion on their albums. I grew up in the times their Black album came out so I actually like the stuff they did that album and on. Load wasn't a bad album IMO.

    But, just in case :crapstorm:

I was a huge fan growing up but I just can’t get into the new stuff. St. Anger was the last album I really listened too. I don’t think the new stuff is bad but it’s just kinda “meh” in my opinion.

I’ve been trying to debate which album at the top to pick as my favorite but that is one tough choice.

I have a friend who is a raging Metallica-aholic. He spends like $5K a year on tickets to their shows. He likes the new stuff but it’s just not my cup of tea.

There was an "album" leaked from the Death Magnetic album called Demo Magnetic. It didn't have all the extra shitty processing the final product had. It actually turned out really good IMO. I remember when the final product came out and the following crapstorm that ensued

Sometimes the raw stuff is the best!

I could spend hours watching lamb of god’s studios performances on YouTube. Right to the feels.

Your not wrong. It wasn't a bad album. It was a TERRIBLE album.

I was 21 or so. Picked the CD up the day it came out. Drove to a buddies house 45 minutes away listening to it. Popped it out of the CD player and walked to his front door with it. I sold it to him for 50% less then an hour after buying it. lol

Yup, like the 1982 No Life 'Til Leather demo. Now, that is the old Metallica I like. Although it was missing Kirk and Cliff.

Lamb Of God are on another level. How many metal bands have produced instrumental only albums that you actually want to listen too?

I was born 20 years after you and was a teen during the late 00's nu-metal era so my opinion is far skewed
