I thought the bumper was a gonner when the Taco sunk about a foot more once at the bottom. But the RAS saved the day, barely!!!!

MK38 is rad for stockers. I can just imagine in some snow!

    Cactus looked surreal.

Looks like a good time. Where is this? I tried to Google MK38 but only got your post and a GaiaGPS result but didn’t give info when the app opened.

Nice drive for you. This is my entrance as I’m coming from the south. Other entrances as you head up the 14.

The first major dirt road you see is 22(?), that’s what waterworks uses. MK trails are all BLM. Only one video on youtube and one post on Facebook. MK1 is a bit hairy, @AMMO461 took that wheel also. He’s familiar with the area.

I’ll have to admit I tried backing out, or rather I was going to, but AS SOON as I put the selector into R, it lost traction(????) and in I went another 12” or so. I was in it to win it, and with the step and trailer hitch area scraping, the TRAC up front and locked rear left got me out with bumper in tow as was  but!!! What a rush navigating/stepping out/throttle adjustments. Bad ass 3rd Gem Yotas.

I forgot to explain about the cactus, the camera did a poor job of capturing the glistening awesomeness.

The sun is lower now, and the temps were right, 70’s, (for you photographers—dream conditions) man, the cactus totally stole my heart.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing the info. Will have to check it out next time I’m looking for a desert trip.

Sick one. You drove through my little shit town of Rosamond Lol.
Tons of desert wheeling out here through the mountains behind willow springs raceway. Just tons of trash so bring a plug kit.

10-4 on that one! Quite a bit of target practice areas too, so I go mostly on workdays. The rains/snow gonna change it some more, 38 might be out of my league soon, lol

@661 , got your post via email. Yeah, easily accessible quick like, particularly the 22.

I have a place I go to when I need to tune the hot saws at 3,000’. I Take a drive off the 14 past Mojave, no one around, and just have a relaxed fun time hidden from it all.
