Hey all, I just got an oil change and I was in a rush so as he asked me what oil I wanted, I chose the blend on accident. Is it fine to go the full 5000 on synthetic blend on my 4.0 v6? Or should I go and spend more money to get it changed to full synthetic? Truck has 208,xxx miles.

As long as it’s the right spec it shouldn’t hurt anything

These trucks don't have a reputation for being picky about oil. It'll be fine

As long as the weight (viscosity) was correct, you’re fine

Its fine, New oil is better than old oil.
My old 91 4Runner Had conventional oil changes at 3K for most of its life. Still ran great at 320K.
With VVT motors oil viscosity is important not synthetic or Conventional. Conventional change every 3K synthetic change every 5k.

    I do 5k with synthetic.

this does not involve talking to people.
This involves getting oil. And putting it in.

whether that be free. The store. Or online.

if you pay for oil, there is synthetic as cheap as $12 per 5qt.
    Synthetic is better than Dino.
Dino costs the same or more. There is no reason to use Dino. It is not 1970.

no idea what you mean about blend.
There is base stock group 3. Group 4. PAO ester.
I’m generally not getting a $44/5qt PAO ester like Motul unless it is free. I don’t see the point, benefit, or reason.
This is not rich man with Ferrari. It is caveman Tacoma.

Synthetic blend is a blend of synthetic and conventional oil. Those are actually two different things chemically.
