We had frost advisories several days last week and it appears it didn't happen. Woke up yesterday morning and there was frost yet no advisory Killed off what flowers I had and the hydrangea's so I recon it's time for them to go dormant. Gotta get out the chainsaw for the annual mass pruning. I don't want everything to get overgrown like when I first moved in...

Probably a little more yard work today. Still need to clear out the flower bed by the side of the house. Debating just pulling the bulbs and going with some per-annuals or something.

What turned into a trimming yesterday went into full on removal mode





But, now the yard is starting to look a whole lot cleaner.



Got to grab some peat moss to put over the grass seed. I don't expect it to grow right now, but hopefully the wetness over the winter will help it out in the Spring. Debating cutting down and pulling out some more. Yard had so many random things in it.

Anyone interested in going to AOAA or Rausch Creek Saturday? It would only be greens. I am not interested in tearing my truck a part. Just want to take my cousin from FL around beautiful Pennsylvania.

 

Cut some fire wood this weekend at camp also some beef from the farm and a wood cart I made in about 3 hours for the 4 wheeler that we didn’t use to hall the wood

 

Good morning PA. It looks like today is the last of the summer like days in the western part of the state. Hopefully the stinging insects, like yellowjackets, will soon end their days. They have been flying around as I sit on my deck most afternoons.
