Great. Works for you. I see no need for an AGM battery, especially in the deep south.
    Different strokes.....

110 degree heat kills ALL batteries. I would rather be able to top off the electrolyte, if needed, or pay less to replace batteries at about the same frequency.

AGMs have been common for a long time in applications besides vehicles and in much more demanding conditions than commuting to work and going to the grocery store. There is no "kool aid" or mystery about their characteristics and requirements. Sure, you can use one without the proper charging paramters, but then you are not utilizing it fully or in other words, not getting what you paid extra for.

One huge advantage is that a Tacoma will start with a battery that has really low voltage. I have started mine in the low 7 volt range and drove away, right in front of a Northern California battery guru, who said no way you can even drive that thing until your battery gets here tomorrow.

After looking at my charging system, he didn't recommend an AGM, that he would sell me for more money, and he was extremely leery when I told him I was going to change my charging parameters myself, back when there were no tunes for sale beyond OV, that you tweaked yourself and a collaborative effort on Tacomaworld to improve them. And put on as many trucks as you wanted for a small VIN liscencing fee I will add. Boy that sure changed.

When I came back a couple weeks with the AGM and changed charging parameters, he said he saw exactly what it wanted, was surprised and happy to see that.

I have an Interstate dealer about 20 miles away. Are Interstate batteries worth the drive over other battery brands?
I also see size 35 and 24F fits my Tacoma in different brands, CCA and reserve. What's the difference, best one to get?

Interstate is a brand made by Johnson Controls (used to be mostly made by JC), but also by Exide and Delphi.
JC makes Optima, Interstate, Die Hard, Energizer, Motocraft, etc.

Price difference mostly, AGMs are great but i don't see much advantage for street use. I run an AGM in my taco that goes offroad, but i run a lead acid in my nissan which lives on the street. The lead acid is currently 7 years old.

What about the sizes 35 vs 24F? Both come in different CCA.

24F is larger, has more reserve capacity, higher cold cranking amps. If it fits in your battery tray and tie-downs, go with 24F.
What size does your truck have currently?

The 24F agm will fit the factory tray, but you'll need an aftermarket battery strap. The oem battery strap can be used temporarily though.

The 24f everstart is about 4lbs heavier than the oem battery. I didn't want the weight of a larger agm up front. Costco sells the same agm(made by Johnson controls), but it's a 3 year warranty vs wally worlds 4 year warranty.

I don't know what Costco is charging for their 24f, but the Walmart version was $175 ish.

Same can happen even if you stay with the same size.
I replaced a 35 size Everstart battery in wife's RAV4 with the same 35 size Everstart. New battery was a tad taller, only 1/8 of an inch. I had to use a longer tie-down to make it work. Kept the same strap.
One was Johnson Controls, other was Exide. Both were regular flooded cell.

Like has been said, probably not.

I'm still waiting on my Tuner to reply...to ask both questions.

Looks like it's $180 plus $15 core charge for the AGM at Costco.

    Stock as all get out.
6 more months and it will be 8 years on my Northstar AGM battery. Not once have had corrosion issues. And no tune.

Costco & Walmart prolly have the best price/warranty.

This is the time to be carrying a fully charged power pack in your Taco.
