It’s been a few months, how do you like the handling, especially cornering? I’m looking at those in either 255/75 or 255/80. The 80s are an LT load range E, the 75 are not an LT. Generally speaking, LT have stiffer sidewalls, but are also heavier. Also more thread, 18/32 vs 16/32, but also almost 100$ more a piece. So really leaning towards the 75s if cornering feels good.

Im going to get the Nokian NaT 255 75s for mine. I think this size will be a great compromise between the oem size and 33s with regards to fuel economy. The oem BF TTs just remind me of all out highway tires which are great for quietness and fuel economy but very little off road capability.

My truck should be here in December. Will most likely do a 255/80/17 Toyo AT3.
Skinny tires are just so much better in the winter.

Ordered 255/75/17 Toyo AT3 because they are LT 6E, the 255/80R17 are LT 10E. I don't need or want 10-ply.

255/75/17 is the stock tire size on Bronco Big Bend and Outer Banks trims…it’s deff a good-looking size. I’m also considering this size because the pics I’ve seen with 285/70/17s (33s) look like the spare tire hangs down way too low. I have KO2s now and will actually be switching to the Toyos when they wear out bc they come in standard load/passenger rating. Though they do look amazing, KO2s are heavy and ride pretty rough. They are certainly better suited for moderate+ off-road trips but I don’t do enough of that to sacrifice everyday comfort.

So if I get the 255/75/17 then can i install one on the factory spare rim? Or will i need an after market rim? And, can either of these setups fit all the way up into the spare wheel well with regards to diameter?

I think the weight difference is only 2 lbs (48 vs 50)

    It
It’s more about the harsh ride, but how much stiffness can 2 lbs bring when half of it will be on the circumference.

The tires feel like stock or at least I don’t notice any difference. No difference in handling. Would have preferred 255/80s but man they’re heavy and honestly for the +/- inch, its not worth it in IMHO. Love’em.

Got my Toyo Open Country AT3 LT255/75R17 installed. It’s a tiny bit stiffer than stock, but not much. Happy I didn’t go LT255/80R17, the 10E would have been harsher than the 6C.
