Back before music was everywhere and we had to, eh hem, "share files"
I aquired their entire catalog for a coworker....along with journey, styx, foreigner, rush.
They're on some broken external hd I have somewhere along with 60k+ other music files.

Well, you get the idea, back when music was good and that if you were under 18, the cops only made you pour out your beer

Yes, it’s the first time I’ve ever been directed to park like a dick. Not gonna lie, it felt somewhat empowering. :p

Somebody posted a meme a while back demonstrating BMW douchebag parking technique. Something with special lines painted with bmw roundel to denote how a dick bmw owner should park to fully display their dickbaggery. But it showed a bmw car defiantly parking opposite of how the special bmw markings were layed out. Funny as hell when I don’t have to explain it. Wish I had saved the pic, because it’s exactly how I felt when I parked yesterday lol. If anybody knows of that pic, please post it!

Funny thing…the only reason I took that pic was because my son texted me this morning out of the blue that he wanted to buy a firebird lol.

When my wife found out he wanted one, she dry heaved, and immediately layed down the law to prohibit the growing of any mullets and/or Kentucky Waterfall hairstyles on or about our property :rofl::rofl:

But I don’t know…there are worse things than a parking a leaky late 80s trans am project car in the driveway (it’s all he could afford). So when I saw this, I took the pic and sent it to him for a little inspiration. :D

As I told the guys on Tues. evening, I slept in the truck last night in my driveway. After the cold evening at Bayfield, I decided enough was enough and bought some stuff to make cold weather more acceptable. First off, the self inflating sleeping pad wasn't cutting it as a replacement for my inflatable pad...mostly in that it was too narrow. It wasn't very thick either (and I'm getting old). I bought a 3" memory foam pad, it works very well. The main problem with the inflatable is that as the temp goes down, so does the internal pressure.

I've never been a good cold weather camper and if I catch a chill, I just can't get beyond it or get any sleep. Since I have the power, I bought an electric blanket. I went back and forth on 12v or AC, finally deciding on AC even though it would be less efficient, having to run through the inverter I have for the battery setup. I went this way mostly because the AC unit had more levels of heat and the timer offered an 8hr setting. It was only $3 more than the 12v. Another reason I went with the AC unit was it listed the power consumption (135w).

The test went well. On level 1 (of 10), it ran all night and didn't drain my battery down too bad at all, nothing that the solar won't recover today. At even level 1, I was comfortable enough down to 34*. Out of curiosity, I will check the draw at lower levels, assuming that there is a lower current draw.

I was alright in Bayfield with my 20° Slumberjack mummy bag.
Sleeping one of the nights on the passenger seat was no bueno. (too lazy to set the tent)
Can't get comfy in the passenger seat. I don't care how much memory foam you add.

I think you’ll like the memory foam. It was a game changer for me.

Pair that with a good cold weather sleeping bag, and you’ll only need the heater to for a few minutes after getting in the sleeping bag, a few minutes in the morning to motivate you to get out in the cold the next morning!

It doesn’t breathe very well though and gets hard as a rock once you get to freezing temps.

I use a 20° enlightened equipment down quilt with a exped mega mat. If it gets real cold I have a 50° synthetic quilt which when you layer them is good to like -10
