What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I washed it. Amazing how much dirt the white paint hides. Didn't look like it needed it... but it definitely did.

Thanks. Been thinking about the 3rd gen swap for my daily, just wasn't 100% whether the sport suspension would give me any lift or it it had to be the off road one.

 

I don’t think the Off Roads will give you any lift either. Back before my full suspension upgrade, my buddy gave his rears from his 3rd gen and I didn’t get anything. Nicer ride with them being brand new though.

Maybe I just couldn’t tell idk

 

Rear shocks won't provide lift. Fronts from 3rd gen will on 2nd gen. Neighbor just recently did his with 3rd gen parts

So is that any 3rd gen front struts?

 

OR shocks/springs.

 

Nothing too crazy but I replaced my mud flaps and slapped a new sticker on my fuel door. (It says “taco sauce only”)

 

Installed a 12volt solutions remote start.

 

It’s a NP whirlwind.

I installed new Off Road struts/coils, with only 40 miles on them, on my 2008 Off Road 2 years ago. Initially added more lift than level After settling, and now 2 years later, it still sits pretty level. The ride is still much improved on my truck which just hit a little milestone today.

How did you do it?

 

Underneath my truck hitting everything with degreaser before I pressure wash it. I’m taking care of some surface rust with Corroseal then planning to hit it with the ol’ Fluid Film tomorrow. Hopefully good for another winter!

 

Finished the rear interior relay panel tonight. The whole thing is wired to come alive through an aux tap in the fuse box to the relay switch pin, but I chose to do 6 relays incase I ever need to wire some to a switch.

the bluesea bussbar was slightly shorter than the terminal block so I had to do a janky spacer setup to fit everything in the foot print.

I’ll follow up soon when it’s cut out and mounted in the truck. Front interior panel up next.

almost at 80K miles. oil and filter change (4k mile old) drain and filled the radiator, power steering fluid and brake fluid reservoirs. last time i did this was two years ago.
