The only organized sports I ever participated in were Cross Country, Track & Field and Trapshooting.

Cross Country was the purest sport.
It's a team sport but kinda isn't too.
Your time is your time and that's it.

Track & Field, well, there are things like throwing elbows, spiking and blocking people when they make a move.
But officials on on the watch for that kinda stuff.
And it's right out there for all to see.
Getting a bad reputation invites retaliation.

In Trapshooting, some will indulge in mental tricks to distract opponents and break their concentration.
No bueno
After awhile, nobody wants to squad with you.


Winning is not everything... Vince Lombardi notwithstanding.
