Ive been meaning to document the build of my 2014 Tacoma 4.0

I bought this truck a couple of years ago from the original owner with only 30k miles on it. He kept it pretty much bone stock until Covid, when he decided to do some tasteful mods (suspension, tires, front/rear bumpers). I’m guessing he needed something to spend his stimulus money on (before his wife could…). Just like me, the original owner was extremely meticulous - he kept it garaged, routinely waxed and unlike me, kept the milage down low - I don’t think he’d be too happy to know that I’ve almost doubled the mileage in the few years I’ve owned it! The truck lived in California its whole life up until two years ago when I moved out to the east coast. I immediately had the underside oil coated and have kept up on it. I’ve also kept the truck garaged and routinely washed, as a result, it still is completely rust free! Oil changes have been done every 5k miles, regular maintenance has always been done at the dealer, etc.

It started off as a pretty clean/basic spec from the factory - TRD Wheels, TRD exhaust, the full towing package, four-wheel drive and a few other features (cruise control, navigation, etc).

I’m going to break the mods down into 2 parts - exterior and interior:

    Exterior:
    - 33” Continental Terrain Contact Tires (relatively quiet on the freeway and can handle just about any terrain)
    - Adjustable Fox 2.5 Factory Racing Shocks w/ reservoirs 3” lift
    - Custom Southern Style Off-Road front bumper with 13,000 lb waterproof winch
    - Body Armor rear bumper with tire rack and Hella pod light
    - Prinzu Roof Rack with 43" Cali Raised LED light bar
    - ARE Shell with special ordered windows
    - Rock Slider Side Steps
    - Snorkel
    - LED Headlights and fog lights
    - Spare Tire Cover with 1080p Back-Up camera

    Engine Bay:
    - All the wiring has been tucked and hidden by a professional shop. They installed a relay box next to the battery to keep the OEM look.

The undercoating process (I would highly recommend to anyone that deals with salt):

The previous owner ordered it. I believe it is a dobinson and somehow he ordered it with the Tacoma lettering on the side.
