So about two weeks ago I was claying, polishing, and ceramic coating my truck. I accidentally managed to get polish in some undesirable areas, like on the tri-fold bed cover? What should I use to get this off??PolishonBedCover.jpg PolishonBedCover2.jpg

If that's splatter from the polish then you can wipe it off with a quick detailer or just wash the truck.

I tried that, and had little results. I was scrubbing and scrubbing for a while. I wonder if I used a chemical like Xylene or goof off, if that would damage the bed cover.... Even if washed off with water right after.

I guess im just going to have to put some more elbow grease in to it.

I'd start with using denatured alcohol, then Naptha, then paint thinner/mineral spirits, etc. Start with something mild and work your way up to more aggressive chemicals. The, if you have a coating on the bed cover I'd clean it really well and reapply the coating.

Is the cover fiberglass, aluminum or steal?

I believe it’s aluminum it just came with the truck. The problem is that it isn’t smooth, it’s got texture to it. I believe it was a factory or dealer installed option. I bought the truck about a year ago and it was cheaper than most because it was at a Porsche dealership, and they tipically don’t have the same “kind of people” who come in to drive a 911 turbo and end up deciding to by a taco haha

Unfortunately depending on the the make up of the black surface. The polish may be stuck there. As someone mentioned try denatured alcohol in spot that you won’t see or try some wd40.

Yeah i’m thinking the only way to get it off is to put some good old elbow grease in there and just rub at it with some simple green or alcohol. I just don’t want to damage the color of the bed cover
