The vehicle is a 2010 - TACOMA DOUBLE CAB V6 with 295K Miles.
We had an issue with the rear U-Joint but I got that replaced. The truck was dealing with that for a couple months and was rattling like crazy. About a week before that got fixed I noticed a new rattle also occuring with the truck. I noticed it shaking a little bit in idle and SHAKING a lot more during ~ 45-50 mph. Outside of the 45-50ish mph range shake it really isn't noticeable whilst driving. I noticed the exhaust was making the same noise in sync with the rattling. When it goes up a steep enough incline I could be going 70mph and it can get as slow as 50mph when before it could maintain speed. THE U-JOINT rattle is gone 100%. The other U-Joints were said to be fine and all have been greased.

    I have 3 codes.
    P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected.
    P0012 - A camshaft position timing over - retarded bank 1
    P0022 - A camshaft position timing over - retarded bank 2

We changed the oil and the issue only lessened the idle shaking by a little bit.
I was going to check the VVT Solenoids next to see if they were dirty or not but I could not remove the pressure clip. I plan on trying again later this week. If it is not from the VVT solenoids being dirty what should I check next. I would like to avoid a mechanic if possible due to finances and work.

I have zero experience of working on a vehicle. I have been watching videos and reading forums for about a month now for this particular issue. I bought a socket set, some leather gloves, and some Mass Airflow sensor Cleaner (to clean the VVT Solenoid per a YT vid I saw).

For your sake I hope it's the solenoids. If not, with that mileage might be the timing chain.

Also check the VVT Solenoid Filters.

VVT FILTER is behind a bolt on the locations in the image above.

If it's the timing chain will that make any kind of specific noise?

Thank you, I never knew about those. How would I be able to clean those if they are dirty?

    Replace them they are cheap.

Take your time removing them as they can break during removal. Work slowly and don't use any undue force.

Been gone for awhile. I had a crash after I hydroplaned off a corner into a tree. So during all that time of repairs I just fixed the engine issue today with an ignition coil replacement. So the P0012 and P0022 codes seemed to have been from another truck that was not cleared out from the scanner. But my drive to work today did not have any shaking, acceleration issues, or a rough time up any inclines. Only thing I am noticing now is that when I am driving slower than 30MPH the rpm jumps up or down suddenly. The check engine light is still on but I am getting zero codes. Only took 295K miles to wear out one ignition coil lol.
