8701331B-5BC8-42AA-AF31-97425B668BB3.jpg Well, I picked up a set of power mirrors off of a 2000 4Runner, wrong color but that can be changed.

It took a slight modification to fit-the LH mirror, probably the same on the RH side. There is a small sheet metal screw and socket, that I had to drill a hole for, some wrestling with the bolts from the original mirrors but the first one fit pretty good.

I will try the second tomorrow, if everything goes well, then pull them both off and sand them and paint them semi gloss black.

Have to track down a switch, and see about the wiring later.

    Better photo journalism tomorrow...

My 95.5 SR5 Tacoma came with power mirrors. Would the 01-04 power mirrors be plug and play?

To answer my own question, yes, they are plug and play.

Do you have the part number for the O.E.M. Mirrors? I’d like to do this for my Taco as well. The lil’ mirrors suck and I’d like to have a better field of vision.

Just got my mirrors installed. Larger, have the flip, manual style, to parallel to the truck body, and don’t vibrate while driving. They were by Brock, cost me $64.91. Had to remove the screws on the passenger side but mounted them both with 6MX1.00mm nuts. 10 minute install for both sides. Quick, easy, and a hella lot better view. Thanks to all!

Glad this thread was here and I'm embarking on this power mirror mod shortly.

I have manual windows so I'm looking at mounting the switch in the A/T console ahead of the shifter. I'll let everyone know how that goes with pics after my install.

I bought these TRQ units from Amazon

    https://amzn.to/3A6E29R

I have bought other TRQ parts and they have been decent quality. I'll be sure to let y'all know if these vibrate at highway speeds and they will get returned to Amazon. These mirrors have Red, Brown and Black wires. The RED wire is the common wire for these mirrors

The switch I got was the Camry switch that looks like this one. It has 10 pins.

I just finished confirming the switch and mirror wires for my mirror and switch combo and here is the pinout:

    Left Mirror:
    Red to Pin 6
    Brown to Pin 5
    Black to Pin 1

    Right Mirror:
    Red to Pin 6
    Brown to Pin 8
    Black to Pin 7

    Pin 10 = Ground
    Pin 9 = Accessory Switched +12V

I used this three conductor 16gauge wire for my mirror runs to the switch:

The project is complete and ops checks good on both mirrors. The switch had to be mounted at an angle to clear shifter structure underneath the cover. My clock is now a functioning voltmeter display so I was unable to use a clock delete plate for the switch location.

since I had the door cards off to run the mirror wires I replaced my non-functioning door checks and now have doors that don’t close on my leg.

    Mike
