IMG_0039.jpg IMG_0016.jpg I have a 2003 Tacoma 5 lug and want to upgrade to the fabtech 3” spindle lift and want to use my steel stock rims. Fabtech states that the stock rims don’t work with the spindles. Can anyone clarify what is needed if anything to make it work? I have a post that shows them on his 2004 I’m posting the picture of it as well..and I’ve commented on his post as well, but it’s from a long time ago.. thanks for any advice..

Hey! This might help you a little. I have the 3inch spindle installed on my 5 lug 04' w/ stock rims and have no issues with rubbing. How I understood that warning was if I wanted to get bigger tires, I'd have to get different rims. Footnote from Fabtech website:

"Larger tires cannot be installed on OEM wheels."

That statement was there when they originally released the spindles. If I recall it was around 1998 or 99 and the 5lugs at the time came with 14 inch wheels. The 2001 plus came with 15s and those wheels fit fine. You can even go up to a 30 9.5 tire with no rubbing.
