    Hey all.
Got back from Oceano dunes today, which is about a 6 hour drive from where I live.

I went up Friday, no issue on the drive. Did truck stuff. Drove back home this morning and in the last ~hour of my drive, the truck started violently bucking/jerking on the freeway.

It happened when I slowed down after I had had it on cruise control in 5th gear at about 70mph for a good 50 miles. Prior to that, I was stuck in LA traffic. It was a long, terrible drive.

It felt like a fuel cut, but I’ve never actually experienced one before so I can’t say for sure if that’s what it was. It was like someone would smash the brakes 2-4 times each time it happened, while I was in gear and in the gas. Did not happen specifically upon deceleration.

No noise, no pinging, no gear grinding, no codes, nothing. Clutch still bites fine. I pulled over at a gas station for like 15 minutes, and it didn’t happen again in the last 30 minutes of the drive home.

I did do a little searching but didn’t find anything specifically similar to my issue. I’m thinking fuel, spark, possibly MAF? I also went to a janky gas station up in Pismo, could it be I just got a bad batch of gas and fouled a plug?

Catalytic converter was replaced by PO over 10k miles ago. Plugs were new when the engine was swapped ~40k miles ago. No idea about the wires. I replaced the fuel filter myself with a Wix unit about 1k miles ago. Clutch is fairly new as well but I think probably has about 10k on it at this point. I don’t think it’s transmission related though. My friend suggested maybe I overheated the clutch by keeping it on cruise at such a high speed for so long, but I dunno. Wanted to see what you all think.
